The newest winery run by the first women wine entrepreneur, with a focus on producing easy-drinking wines.
It all began in 2003 when Ms. Shaambhavi Hingorani set up SDU’s first vineyard at the quaint Nandi Valley region in Karnataka, approximately 73 km from MG road in Bangalore. Her journey started as an agriculturist – growing grapes and selling them to wineries across the country before launching the company’s first vintage in 2012.

The boutique winery owns 2 plots of vineyards in the Chikkaballapur district – one at ID Halli and the other at TG Halli - totaling 50-acres. SDU adheres to a simple, yet modern approach to winemaking in their state-of-the-art facility with machinery imported from Italy and the wine tanks matching international standards.
The famed Italian winemaker Andrea Valentinuzzi oversees the vineyard and winemaking operation at SDU. Under his leadership, the winery produces a range of easy-drinking varietal, reserve and blended wines, which are marketed under the brand names Deva, Reserva and Trilogy respectively. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding Makali Hills as you savor some of their fine wines on a classic wine tour to this vineyard.
